The Fourth Annual Military Watch Resource Christmas Drawing

Welcome to the 4th annual MWR Christmas Drawing.  For those of you who have never taken part in an MWR Christmas, here's how it works:

A portion of your entry fee will go towards paying for one grand prize watch.  The remainder will go towards a charity to be announced.  The winners are chosen at random after the entry cut-off date.  This year's grand prize watch has not been announced, however, these are the past winners:

1st Annual Christmas Drawing: Rolex 5513 (Alan N.)

2nd Annual Christmas Drawing: IWC MK XI (Bob W.)

3rd Annual Christmas Drawing: JLC MK XI (Bryon Bass)

This year's Christmas Drawing will be hosted by Richard.  drlevenson@att.net

Here is Richard's announcement:

Hello -

Due to the sheer numbers of inquiries of MWRines who can't wait until November 1 for entry details, the following information is provided for those who want to get an early jump on buying a "ticket."

First, raffle tickets cost $25.00 each. I have established a Paypal account which is different and apart from my personal one. The account name is mwr2003raffle@att.net and tickets may be purchased as of right now. I would prefer that Paypal is used, due to the ease of record-keeping, but if you prefer snailmail, I'll take your check. Mail checks, money orders, or US currency to me at the following address: Richard L. Levenson, Jr., 135 East 50th Street, Suite 110, New York, NY 10022.

I will acknowledge every single entry, either by Paypal or by US Mail.

How are the winners picked? Well, the number of winners depends first on the number of prizes. The exception is the Grand Prize drawing which will be first. Then, as Bob has done in the past, one winner will be picked and he(she) will have to choose from the list of prizes; the picks will continue until all prizes are gone. Names will be drawn literally from a hat without replacement. Therefore, if you win once that's it. You can enter more than once (for charitable causes) but I think you'd agree we'd like a lot of winners.

In the end, where does the money go? I believe it is right for the Forum Owner, Bob, to pick a worthy charity. In fact, since Bob has stated that we have a balance from last year's Raffle that was not donated, this year's additional funds should make a nice total donation for a good cause.

I cannot talk about either a grand prize or many other great prizes we will have as yet. However, I can tell you that some of the MWR "Greats" have generously agreed to supply us with wonderful donations and I'm sure MWRines will be pleased. I've also taken the liberty to write to a number of sellers who frequent the PX for sales to MWRines and asked them for donations. I think this is only fair, since many a sale has been made by them from MWRines.

Questions? My email is at the top. Please do not hesitate to contact me if you need to know something. I am only too happy to respond.

Best,

Richard
